The meeting was brought to order by club President Wayne Deckard at approximately 3 p.m.

Chad Williams: Report from September meeting: no new business last month.

Wayne Deckard: The Christmas Party is coming up. We need to set the location by the next meeting.

Chad Williams: We might be able to hold it here in the maintenance hangar, have catered food and get a projector for showing movies and photos from this year's events and fly-outs.

Wayne Deckard: If we have it here then the same volunteers who have been doing all of the work all year around will be doing the work for the party, including cleanup. I'd like to see us be able to go in and walk away from it. Michael Mossman will send an email asking for suggestions, input and a confirmation on whether or not they will want to attend. We will not be doing Christmas gifts this year to save some more money.

Pam Leucht: We could use the Senior Citizens center.

Wayne Deckard: Winter is coming up; check your exhausts for leaks, SCAT tubing, carbon monoxide detectors. Cold weather will be here by Wednesday. Check your tie-down ropes.

Chuck Leucht: I checked the ropes this past week; all tied down except John Komnick's tail.

Wayne Deckard: Check tire pressures on tires. You will lose pressure as the temperature goes down; I would not want you to have a blowout on a landing. Also, think of other fall safety stuff. Check for mice and nests.

Chad Williams Treasurer's Report: $7,396.98 balance in the checking account. We owe our monthly rent for the lease and electric bill, which will be about $2,000 together, and we will owe about $3-4,000 for the fuel bill.

Pam Leucht: Update the hangar list with current phone numbers.

Lebanon Mayorial Candidate George Piper: I am running for mayor as an independent and am looking for a good outcome. Age is 39. I am asking about the direction of the airport. Could be a good asset for the community. It could play a key role in the economic development of the town. There is federal grant money available.

Chad Williams: What we are looking for is the airport to still be here. The asking price is just under $3.2 million for the 178 acres. If it becomes a municipal airport there must be a minimum of 80 acres, which is state law.

Wayne Deckard: It would be unique if the city acquired the airport and developed the rest as a residential airpark.

George Piper: As mayor I would be looking to bring more high-end professionals to the area.

Wayne Deckard: Pilots would still like to operate and control the airport rather than have it controlled by a business owner or politician. If an FBO comes in to run the airport the rents will go up and most of the tenants here will not be able to afford to stay.

Michael Mossman: If the members have to go away your volunteers go, then you'll have to pay someone to run and manage the airport.

John Komnick: If you have an outsider come in to the airport, what is the first thing you want them to see? We're it.

Wayne Deckard: The airport must go municipal to qualify for federal funds. Some grants are earmarked by FAA because the runway here is so narrow. It's been grandfathered by the FAA but they want to widen it. We are a 501c6 so we can accept donations. Go to industry for money to develop the airport because they will be the ones using it.

Roy Dawes: Property owners bought the airport in hopes of selling it for a profit.

Chad Williams: We do affordable flying event every year.

Wayne Deckard: Sport Pilot manufacturer coming to Lebanon. Will be building the aircraft at the industrial park, then final assembly work at the airport.

John Komnick: 80% of the business aircraft out there could operate out of this airport.

Chuck Leucht: Motion to adjourn, Wayne Deckard seconded. All in favor. Meeting adjourned.

Minutes respectfully submitted by Michael Mossman, Association Secretary
