Wayne Deckard brought the meeting to order at approximately 3:00 p.m.

Wayne Deckard: The board met this week and decided that we would have a limited event this summer; the date is pending Chuck Long's input on Young Eagles. We are going to need volunteers to be here the date of the event to talk aviation to the kids and parents. We will also need volunteers to work the ramps and crowds. We will start Young Eagles in the morning then shut it off at noon. Afterwards we will have a pitch-in get-together for the members, families and volunteers. We will not be advertising this part to the public, only the Young Eagles.

We will need to do clean up 1-2 weeks before the event. Kristen Henke has a project list for the airport property. Tom Rich will bring a trailer to haul away junk metal.

Wayne Deckard: We received fuel; we expect the price to be more than $4.00 per gallon. It was right at $4 before shipping. There is no requirement for you to buy your fuel here, we don't benefit from the sale. Other airports have fuel cheaper: Logansport was $3.66, Hendricks County was at $3.97. It is convenient here, though.

Safety Session: Birds have been nesting and can build a nest in about two hours. Check your cowling regularly for signs of birds. Be sure to plug up all of the holes where birds could get in. Check your tie-down ropes; we should be seeing some high winds the next couple of weeks. The FAA says to make sure you have enough gas in your airplane. There was just another fuel-out off-field landing this week four miles from Terry Airport (Indianapolis Exec).

Wayne Deckard: Expect to see more FAA inspectors are here. They are looking for something to do as they don't have as many Part 135 operations to oversee. If you are operating your airplane they can do a ramp check, but they can't check in your hangar. Get to know them, work with them and things will go better.

Chad Williams Treasurer's Report: $8,905.41, which includes our payment to Brentco for fuel, which is the best situation we have been in for a long time. We still have our tax liability but we won't know the results because our filing isn't due until May 15. Tom Rich's controller assisted with us in the research and in converting the records to QuickBooks. She waived her fee of $350 and just wants us to give her an airplane ride. Perhaps we should buy her lunch too, and invite her to our pitch-in.

Gene Hollingsworth donated tractor time and Tom Rich brought out a tractor to roll the grass field. We have new blades for the John Deere tractor' mower; the bill for the parts will go to the property owners.

Chad Williams motioned to adjourn; John Snyder seconded; all in favor of adjournment.

Minutes respectfully submitted by Michael Mossman, Association Secretary
