Chad Williams brought the meeting to order at approximately 6:00 p.m.

Fuel Tax Decrease — Darren Roberts reported that the Indiana State Legislature dropped (or reduced) aviation fuel taxes. We hope to have an update on this report.

Fly-Out Schedule — A list of five-state fly-outs will be posted on the bulletin board. Kokomo is hosting a Poker Run on Saturday, May 18. Cost is $25.

Fuel Status — The club has both underground fuel tanks full. Price is $5.20 per gallon. The club has some more fuel paste. Put the paste on the stick when you check the fuel tanks. It will show the water and fuel levels in the tank.

Safety Session — Spring is here; check your cowlings for birds; they are very aggressive this time of year at building nests. Also, check your tie-down ropes so they are secure against the wind.

Volunteer Recognition — Steve McClure re-erected the north wind sock. Charles Westerfield and Gene Hollingsworth have been active in mowing the runway and other property. Tom Rich applied cold patch to a hole on the east taxiway.

Aircraft Sales Agreements — Bob Samuels, who had some unfortunate issues in selling an aircraft, would like to present to the club at a future meeting a specimen Aircraft Bill of Sale form that has been vetted by lawyers. If anyone is contemplating the sale of an aircraft they are advised to consider his form.

Equipment Needed — Steve McClure requested that the club by a new vacuum cleaner for the operations building. Steve volunteered to locate one. Since the projected amount was less than $100, no motion or vote was called on the request. Chad Williams recommended that Steve buy one when time allowed.

Equipment Maintenance — The club has a new wind sock system for the south end of the property. It will be installed in place of the current wind sock on the maintenance hangar. A new pedestal will need to be built to hold it to the building. Chad Williams will locate new wind sock that will fit the taper of the sock frame. Tom Rich volunteered the use of his scissors lift that can be used for the installation.

Property Purchase — The owners have formalized their asking price for the airport property and further action is pending. Any questions should be directed to a club officer.

Treasurer's Report — $10,897.15 in checking, $3,028.60 in savings.

New Member — Phil Brown, who owns a Piper Comanche and was a former airport tenant in the Shorty Graves days, joined the club during the May meeting.

Adjournment — Steve McClure motioned to adjourn; Gene Hollingsworth seconded. All voted in favor of adjournment.
