Club vice president John Saalwaechter brought the meeting to order at 6:07 p.m.

Treasurer's Report — Checking account balance is $5,746.81, general savings account balance is $9,031.60, fuel account balance is $4,707.36. Dick Gurley reports that the finances are stable and right on budget. The fuel account is caught up and everyone is paid to date.

Fuel Report — Avgas is currently priced at $4.80 per gallon for members. The club has fuel in both tanks and both pumps are working but the north pump continues to lose its prime. Members should pump fuel from the south tank. The club will transfer fuel from the north to the south whenever necessary. The autogas fuel tank has been filled but the club will not be able to announce the price until we receive the invoice from the supplier.

New Member — Kevin Hoffer join the club during the April meeting. He flies a Sky Ranger LSA aircraft.

Secretary's Report — Michael Mossman read an abbreviated version of the March 2015 meeting minutes and reminded members that the minutes are available in hard copy on the bulletin board, and are posted on the club website before the next month's meeting.

Plow Truck Report — Roy Dawes has planned on fixing the brakes on the plow truck but has not yet done the job. After a brief discussion the club determined that it would be better to get them fixed now rather than try to get them done next winter when the weather is colder. Roy will be doing the labor in exchange for use of the storage room in the maintenance hangar building.

Equipment Report — The mailbox had been damaged by snow plows over the winter and needed to be repaired or replaced. Chuck Leucht and Michael Mossman volunteered to fix it. The flagpole broke off on the wind. The club will wait to replace it because it was located where the new driveway will be built.

Mowing Report — Chad Williams mowed part of the property last week, around the hangars and a strip of the runway. The runway doesn't need mowing yet but there is a rock that needs to be moved. All of the club mowing equipment is set for an optimum mowing height of 3.5 inches. Earl Brosman will be the mowing coordinator for 2015 and will be calling members for the mowing schedule. Be sure to let Earl know if there are any restrictions on when you can mow. Earl spent 4+ hours rolling the grass runway.

Fly-Out Schedule — Michael Mossman posted a schedule of nearby fly-ins on the bulletin board. The list will be updated periodically.

Safety Report — Chad Williams has already had four bird nests in his hangar. Birds need only a half an hour to build a nest. Members are reminded to check their aircraft for nests before starting their engines or flying. Members are also asked to check their tie-downs for security. Some of the tie-downs are getting old and need to be replaced.

West Coast Fly-Out Planned — Mark Poliak, who is based at Westfield Airport, is planning a cross country rally to Astoria, Oregon. The flight, which will start the last week of September, will follow the Missouri River, tracing the route by Lewis and Clark. Anyone interested in joining the flight or driving Earl Brosman's motorhome are welcome to join.

Spring Clean-Up Day Planned — Chad Williams would like to schedule a spring clean-up after the regular May business meeting. Chad will post a list of chores that will need to be done.

New Business — Bill Wagner recommended that the club buy a storage cabinet for the club tools that are kept in the maintenance hanager. He found a cabinet in a catalog, which will cost from $400 to $600 (depending on size), with shipping to cost about $100. Members will review the product and pricing; no action was taken on the recommendation.

Adjournment — Michael Mossman motioned to adjourn; Chuck Leucht seconded. The meeting was adjourned.
