With a quorum declared, Club President Ray Rice called the meeting to order at 9:01 a.m.

Acceptance of Minute — Kevin Hoffer motioned to accept the minutes from the previous meeting; Jay Schaumberg seconded. The motion passed.

Old Business — The Dixie Chopper mower needs a new engine. John Saalwaechter previously offered to fund it but we are waiting to see if the property owner wants to buy one. The mower is currently in Tom Rich's hangar; Ray Rice will see if work on the mower is in progress.

EAA Chapter — No progress has been made on investigating the viability of bringing an EAA chapter to the field.

Auto Fuel Report — Earl Brosman wants to empty the auto fuel tank and clean it out before we get our first load of auto fuel in the spring.

Av Fuel Report — Earl Brosman reports that the club has about 500 gallons of fuel available.

Maintenance Hangar Report — Mark Van Zant wants to schedule the maintenance hangar in the coming month.

Hangar Report — No new tenants this month but none reported leaving, either. Chuck Long's hangar door was damaged by the wind. The club is getting a crew together to do the repairs after the meeting. Earl Brosman has a list of materials needed for the repair. Earl and Chuck's roof is leaking; Mark Poliak will fix it with some roof tar. The new hangar doors on the third building need maintenance. Due to the frost heave the bottom rails need to be removed, the the doors must be secured at the bottom in two places to keep them from blowing out. Earl Brosman has been using concrete blocks to secure his doors. Don Geisler is still interested in tearing down some old hangars and building new ones.

Airport Maintenance Day — Earl Brosman has volunteered to be the coordinator of the annual airport maintenance day. Earl will post a list of chores that need to be accomplished this spring; volunteers can pick what they want to do. The clean-up day will be April 13, the same day as the general meeting. Members are asked to come out and spend a couple hours in the morning, then have the rest of the day free before coming back for the Spring Party.

Spring Party — In lieu of an after-Christmas Holiday Party the club will host a Spring Party on Saturday April 13, starting around 4:30 p.m., with dinner at 5:30. The party will be a pitch-in dinner at the airport.

Treasurer's Report — Dick Gurley reported via email that the club has $5,896.52 in the general savings account and $8,825.54 in the fuel account. The club is running about $4,000 in the red for the year due to the excessive hangar vacancies. Ray Rice is negotiating a new lease with the property owners that may give us some relief during the periods of high vacancy.

Club Assets — Ray Rice spoke with Don Geisler about selling some of the club assets, such as the Ford tractor, to pay for equipment that is more useful to us. The farmer that borrowed the bush hog has worn it out and will pay us for its value.

New Members — Ray Rice will reach out to the regional glider clubs and see if they are interested in re-locating to the field.

Young Eagles — Chuck Long is still waiting on the Lutheran group for a commitment on Young Eagles. No date has been set.

New Ratings — Josh Long has been accepted into ATP flight training school in Denver for a six-month program. Josh will become a CFI, then instruct while working on airline ratings. ATP has about 38 training sites.

Runway Report — With spring coming it will soon be time to roll the grass runway. Earl Brosman has offered the use of his car to pull the roller. Mark Poliak has two teenage nephews who may be interested in mowing. There would be no cost for them to volunteer but Mark recommended that the club buy them lunch and offer them regular airplane rides, etc.

Events — Mark Poliak is coordinating the regional Ercoupe fly-outs; Earl Brosman suggested that the club might want to tag along with some of them. Michael Mossman has updated the events schedule on the club's webside and posted the list in the operations building. Ray Rice has suggested that the club do a fly-out after the May meeting. If there any fly-ins that day the club would go there. Otherwise, the club would fly to a near-by restaurant. Ray reports that there are two restaurants within walking distance of the Rochester airport. Other airports with restaurants include Eagle Creek, Muncie, Columbus and Terre Haute Hulman Regional.

Adjournment — Ray Rice moved to adjourn the meeting; Jay Schaumberg seconded. The meeting was adjourned at 9:59 a.m.
