Club president Ray Rice brought the meeting to order at 9:05 a.m.

Volunteer Thanks — President Ray Rice offered the club's thanks to Earl Brosman for meeting the fuel tank inspectors, and to Earl and Mark Poliak for mowing and spraying weeds, along with other miscellaneous property maintenance items.

Fuel System Report — The fuel tanks are now empty so we can have our IDEM inspections. We will need to do the normal inspection, along with isolating the riser pipe. The inspector will need to measure the tank to re-calibrate our fuel recording machine and get a new calibration for the measuring stick. The pipe will need to be isolated, and the tank will need to be pressure tested, which will require a different contractor. We still have the old anodes for the tank, and they will buy them for cash. We do not know the cost for the pressure test but the entire sequence will happen on Tuesday. The state will require that the club designate Operator A, B and C as hierarchial managers the fuel system. Matt Kriech will be Operator A, Ray Rice will be Operator B, and Earl Brosman will be Operator C. Each operator will need to take an on-line test of 50 questions; Ray reports that you can continue to take the test until you pass.

Airport Lease Report — Our airport lease is up for renewal; Ray Rice will be negotiating with the property owner for the new lease.

Mowing Report — A small number of people have volunteered to do the mowing around the property. The current mower in use was contributed by Steve McClure, which is a great back-up mower but needs too much work for front-line mowing. The club should keep the trailing side-mower operation in case we need to mow the grass runway. Tom Rich took the Dixie Chopper, thinking he could find a low-cost engine. He will continue to look but the mower also needs a hydraulic pump and a wheel bearing. Mark Poliak motioned that the club allocate up to $3,500 for a used commercial-grade mower with a maximum time of 2,000 hours. Most of the $3,500 has already been pledged for mower replacement. Mark will search for the appropriate mower. Dick Gurley seconded the motion. The motion passed with a voice vote.

Club Elections — The club will hold its annual election of officers and directors at the July 2019 meeting. Michael Mossman will mail ballots to all eligible members in good standing. The current slate of candidates is Matt Kriech, president; Ray Rice, vice president; Dick Gurley, treasurer; Michael Mossman, secretary; Earl Brosman, Chuck Leucht and John Saalwaechter, director.

Radio-Controlled Flying — Chuck Leucht inquired about use of the field by operators of radio-controlled model aircraft. After discussion about the issue, Chuck will do some research and bring a proposal for areas and times of operation, and some potential rules. The subject then evolved into a discussion about use of powered parachutes on the field. The concensus is that powered parachutes are generally permissible but operators must observe all FAA regulations while operating from the field, and should not in any way set up chairs on the grass runway nor impede the operation of any other aircraft.

Treasurer's Report — Checking account balance $6,242.41, Fuel Savings balance $9,458.24. All bills are paid to date. Auto fuel has been purchased and paid for, the price is $3.65 per gallon. Fuel users are asked to catch up their bills; the club is owed about $1,000 for fuel and we need to buy more as soon as the inspections are completed.

Adjournment — Ray Rice adjourned the meeting at 9:53 a.m.
