Results of Board meeting — The club board of directors met on Saturday, February 1, 2020, to settle an issue with the fuel pump, which is not working and is not economically repairable. The board voted the pay $1,000 to Gasoline Equipment for a used pump plus $75 per hour for installation. The funds will come from the $5,000 in the fuel savings account that was allocated to pay back part of the fuel loan. The fuel price is set at $4.50 per gallon, which is below market price, but will still allow the club to recover the cost of the pump in about one and a half fuel loads. Details of the meeting are covered in the meeting minutes.

Airport Survey — Matt Kriech led a discussion of the results of the airport survey. He reports that we received 21 responses, which represents more than half of the membership. The results of the survey will be published separately.

Meeting Schedule Change — Matt Kriech led a discussion of a change to the meeting schedule. One proposal was for a rotating quarterly schedule, with a meeting on one month, the next month holding an airport maintenance session, and on the third month conducting a flying event (either attending or hosting). After discussion the club decided that for the near future the monthly meetings will be on the second Thursday of the month at 7:00 p.m.

Aviation Events — Matt Kriech would like for the club to conduct more aviation events this year, perhaps another fly-in and more organized fly-outs. Michael Mossman will update the events calendar, which will allow the club to pick some dates for events without competing with other local events.

Other Events — Mark Poliak notes that the Quiet Birdmen would like to hold their annual Corn Fest at Boone County Airport on the first Monday of August. Their Corn Fest is a private event and would not conflict with the regular use of the airport. The members were in general agreement that it would be an acceptable use of the facilities.

Airport Status Meetings — Matt Kriech met with the mayor of Lebanon to discuss the future of the airport. He reports that the mayor has done his homework on the airport and that the city has a lot of interest in it. The mayor would like for the City of Lebanon to own the airport to secure it, and is OK with the land around it being owned separately. Matt states that federal money is not available for airport improvements because Boone County Airport will never be a reliever airport to Indianapolis due to its proximity to Indianapolis Executive Airport and Eagle Creek Airport., but state money may still be available. The mayor is not willing to commit to the airport until he knows if he can get the state money, and if the property can be acquired at a fair price. Separately, Matt met with the airport owner but no commitments or indications of direction have been given.

Treasurer's Report — General checking account balance is $8,122.41; fuel savings account balance is $5,150.63, with no unusual expenses due. All bills paid to date except for property rent, of which the monthly amount for 2020 has not been determined. Dick Gurley turned in all of the information for state taxes.

Snow Plow Report — John Saalwaechter's Tracker vehicle has a snow plow and is stored in the maintenance hangar. It is available for members to use at the airport. On the FAA website the airport is posted as intermittent snow removal.

Mowing Report — Mark Poliak reports that his nephew is available again this year to do trim mowing; the cost will be about $90 per session. Dick Gurley motioned to hire him to mow, with a cost not to exceed $2,500 for the season; John Saalwaechter seconded. The motion passed by voice vote.

Runway Report — Earl Brosman reports that he has heard lots of complaints about rock damage on the runway. Earl would like to set a day where members would bring leaf blowers to clean off the runway. This will be a temporary solution as the runway will continue to crumble but the cleanup will be easily repeatable throughout the flying season. No date has been set; Earl will try to organize a crew when the weather is acceptable.

A&P/IA Available — Recent club member Richard Rodriguez is an A&P/IA working for the airlines and separately on salary at Crawfordsville Airport. He would like to do annuals and repairs at Boone County Airport. The club will post his contact information on the club website.

Adjournment — Dick Gurley motioned to adjourn; Matt Kriech seconded. The meeting was adjourned at 10:08 a.m.
