Club president Matt Kriech opened the meeting at 7:02 p.m. EST

Old Business — During the November 2020 meeting Earl Brosman discussed renting one of the hangar buildings for storing trailers and small campers since the buiding is no longer usable for airplanes. Earl has several paying tenants, including one who may volunteer to assist with the mowing next spring. The club has five empty open-air hangars that are suitable for small aircraft.

The maintenance hangar is available for hangar tenants to use at $10 per day; the club has not realized any revenue to date although several members have used it in the past year. Michael Mossman will contact the members known to have used it and ask that they pay the regular daily rate for their usage. We also had one non-member use the hangar on an emergency basis who left without paying. Earl Brosman will attempt to collect those rents. Dylan Hartman motioned that the users of the maintenance hangar be required to pay a month's rent up front then the unused balance returned when they move their aircraft out. No action was taked on the motion. Some members have verbally petitioned to club to make the maintenance hangar available as a private hangar. The petition was tabled until next month to give Matt Kriech and Ray Rice an opportunity to prepare a joint proposal for a maintenance hangar solution.

Treasurer's Report — Checking account balance is $8,573.67; fuel savings balance is $2,605.32. All bills to date are paid. Club treasurer Dick Gurley will set up new accounts at Old National Bank due to lower fees and is waiting on a copy of an IRS letter showing our tax exempt status. All reports are posted on the bulletin board. The club is expected to stay cash positive for at least the next six months, but we will have a $1,000 deductible on Steve McClure's airplane. A few members are two months behind on rent; We expect they will get caught up by the end of the month.

Mowing Report — The club's "new" riding mower was picked up by the repair shop the day before the meeting.

New Ratings — Jason Wright received his Private Pilot rating last Wednesday.

New Business — Nothing urgent, however, one of the guy wires on the wind sock is down; Earl has a volunteer lined up to fix it. Earl has been working on the lights and needs someone to climb ladder to put them up.

Powered Parachute Operations — Several of the PPC members have been operating from the field and using non-standard patterns. Michael Mossman mentioned that in the past month the club has had two dead-stick emergency landings at the airport. If the PPCs had been operating during either of those times it would have been disasterous for someone. Although the PPCs are unregulated if in compliance with ultralight regulations, the operators still need to observe airspace rules. The club has a copy of the PPC recommendations posted on the website. Ray Rice recommended a Saturday morning session with the PPC operators so they understand how to fit in safely with the other aircraft. Matt Kriech is mulling over a session plan. Dick Gurley also recommended a safety standdown for all pilots on the field until they attend the same session. No action was taken on the standdown recommendation.

Adjournment — A motion was made to adjourn. Matt Kriech wished all of the club members a wonderful holiday, and to stay safe. The meeting was adjourned at 8:02 p.m. EST
