Club president Matt Kriech opened the meeting at 7:07 p.m. EST

Opening Comments — Matt Kriech said that he really liked Boone County Airport, as it is a fun, safe and affordable place to fly. He added that is OK for members to have differences of opinion and OK to disagree. We should be able to feel safe when leaving and feel free to talk about issues.

Old Business — Matt Kriech led a discussion on the use and operation of the maintenance hangar. Since the space is currently occupied by a club member who is also renting a hangar, its intended purpose is fulfilled and is generating revenue. The club is also meeting expenses with the current arrangements so there is no need to make any changes at this time. John Saalwaechter motioned to lock the room so that any potential users are aware of the daily rate charges before they can use it. Earl Brosman already has the locks and will maintain the keys. All voted in favor; the motion passed. Dick Gurley will add another column to the monthly report spread sheet to reflect the maintenance hangar rental fees.

Treasurer's Report — Checking account balance is $8,643.25; fuel savings account balance is $2,605.33. All bills to date are paid, including the interest money on the fuel purchase loan. One expense not paid is the deductible on Steve McClure's airplane; we have not seen the totals for the repairs yet. 2019 taxes have been sent and accepted by the IRS and Indiana Department of Revenue. The 2020 tax preparation has begun. We have not received our letter from the IRS re-affirming our tax exempt status so the bank accounts have not been switched. Dick Gurley offered his thanks to all, especially Earl Brosman, for the innovative and creative ways that we have raised income and kept a lid on spending. For 2021 we need to work together to keep the hangars full and the spending in check.

Hangar Vacancy Report — Chuck Leucht has moved out of his enclosed hangar so it will be available once his vacancy has been confirmed. Several current members are interested; Michael Mossman will post an email notice of its availability. The right to move in will be awarded based on seniority of the applicant and whether or not the applicant's airplane will fit. The club also has several open air hangar spaces available.

Fuel System Report — The club needs three operators for the underground fuel tank, in accordance with the IDEM regulations. Earl Brosman has completed the on-line course for Class A; we still need operators for Class B and C. John Saalwaechter and Ray Rice volunteered to take the course and on-line test. The next inspection for the underground tank is due in about a year and a half.

Equipment Maintenance Report — Earl Brosman has an old list of items to be taked care of, with nothing urgent. The club needs to put out mouse poison and traps.

Snow Plow Report — Steve McClure volunteered to run the snow plow when (or if) the airport gets some snow.

Club Activities — Jason Dodd is interested in bringing a proposal to the club for hosting a powered parachute event next summer. The club discussed various safety issues and recommended hostiing a safety seminar for powered parachute operators so they understand how to share the airspace and field with certificated pilots. Mark Poliak volunteered to do an educational seminar. A proposal was put forward to host to educational events, one for the local pilots and an area-wide seminar for participants who intend to come to the powered parachute event. No action was taked on any of these items but the club promised to give consideration at a future meeting for Jason's proposal.

Adjournment — After a motion, seconding and voice vote, the meeting was adjourned at 8:06 p.m. EST by Matt Kriech.
