Powered Paragliders Report — At a recent PPG meeting Mark Poliak brought up the issue with localized guidelines. The club will host a PPG training session on May 1 for GA and PPG, and will publish new local procedures at that time. 45 people are signed up for the August PPG event; club will allow campers to park on the east side of the airport. The PPG group is interested in bringing in a vendor for food, etc., and is looking for recommendations. The runway will still be open; based aircraft owners are recommended to check in with the event planners if expecting to fly in or out of 6I4 during the event.

Treasurer's Report — Checking account balance is $18,024.14; fuel savings balance is $4,235.40. The club will need to sell about 300 more gallons before we buy more fuel; the sales would put the fuel savings balance closer to $5,000. All expenses are in line with the budget; the club paid the $1,000 insurance deductible on the damaged aircraft. All members except one are paid up on hangar rent except one; Michael Mossman to send a letter requesting that the account be brought up to date. One other member owes for three months' rent.

Club Equipment Report — The John Deere riding mower has been declared dead, as the part to fix the transmission costs more than $2,200 and is not readily available. Earl Brosman and Dennis Paradise resurfaced the old transmission hydraulic pump, replaced the seals, and it appears to work, at least on the bench. Ray Rice motioned to reimburse Earl for the mower parts; Dick Gurley seconded. The motion passed with a voice vote. Earl bought another mower for $2,520; No action needed to be taked on this acquisition; John Saalwaechter had previously offered to pay for this mower.

Mowing Report — Earl Brosman estimates that the amount of grass the club needs to mow will take about 6 hours per week with 60-inch mowers and a few hours additional time with trimmers. Mark Poliak is not sure if his nephews are available for mowing this year. Matt Kriech believes that his son Evan would be available if we do not have sufficient volunteers.

Volunteer Rule Proposal — Due to most of the volunteer work being done by a few members, Ray Rice suggested that the club adopt a rule where all members perform at least eight hours of volunteer work each year. Those who do not perform the minimum volunteer work would be assessed $15 per hour. The members then discussed the effects the new rule would have on membership. The new rule would require a change in the bylaws so no action was taken at this time.

Volunteer Day — The club will conduct its annual airport clean up day on May 1 after the PPG training session, perhaps with a cookout during lunch or after the volunteer work is completed. Details are pending. Earl Brosman has a list of one-time and on-going clean-up and maintenance issues for volunteers to tackle.

Adjournment — Matt Kriech motioned to adjourn; Dick Gurley seconded. All voted in favor. The meeting was adjourned by 7:58 p.m. EDT
