With a quorum declared, club president Matt Kriech opened the meeting at 7:02 p.m. EDT

Treasurer's Report — Checking account balance is $16,055.17; fuel savings balance is $2,132.61. No unusual expenses reported for the month. Two members are three months behind on rent; one additional member is seven months behind on rent. Michael Mossman to send out notices. With Dick Gurley retiring as treasurer, the club offered its thanks for his years of service.

New Business — Earl Brosman's list of chores still needs work. Earl wants to get rid of the old trash barrells, and will take them to the dump. He mentions that the club needs to get the signs up before the PPG event.

Mowing Report — Thanks to all who have been pitching in to cut the grass, as we have a busy mowing season due to the rains.

Club Elections — Final totals for the elections, the winners are: Matt Kriech (16), president; Ray Rice (16), vice president; Chuck Long (16), treasurer; Michael Mossman (16), secretary; Earl Brosman (15), director; Kevin Hoffer (15), director; and John Saalwaechter (16), director. There were no write-in balots cast. (revised 7/27/2021)

Powered Parachute Event Report — Matt Kriech met with Jason Dodd about the PPC event, which is scheduled for August 20-22. The club will allow camping starting Thursday evening; the camping will be east of the operations building where the old white house was. The property owner has approved the location. The event organizers will have a maintenance work session to help with the club chores. Barbeque dinner on Saturday afternoon, catered by the barbeque restaurant in Advance.

Other event notes:

  • Will try to keep the grass taxiway clear
  • No parking between hangars
  • Hard surface runway will be open at all times
  • The event is expecting 45 participants
  • They will take care of directing people to parking and camping
  • Registration table will be set up
  • Will have maps printed
  • Matt Kriech to bring a fire pit
  • Any BCAA members who want to volunteer are invited to help
  • Club is working on notifying the sheriff's office; deputies are invited to the cookout
  • Will be bringing in porta potties
  • Will be bringing trash disposal
  • The club will need to look into the liability insurance
Club Equipment — One resin rectangular banquet table is missing from the maintenance hangar; it actually belongs to one of our members. Several of the old wood and metal rectangular folding tables are also missing. Anyone knowing the whereabouts of this equipment is asked to inform Earl Brosman,

Oshkosh Report — Earl Brosman is taking his camper to Oshkosh and invites club members to stay with him during the week of AirVenture 2021.

INDOT Report — Ray Rice completed the periodical INDOT Airport Manager Survey, made the necessary changes and updates, and will return it to INDOT.
