Club secretary Michael Mossman opened the meeting at 7:02 p.m., after a quorum was declared.

Introduction of Guests — David Trout is looking to partner on an airplane, potentially a Cessna 150/152, and will need an instructor. Mary Ann Kitzmiller is an aspiring pilot, and is buying Betsy Boleman's share in the Cessna 150.

Approval of Minutes — The minutes to the April 14, 2022 meeting were approved, noting that Kevin Hoffer was at the April meeting and should be added to the attendance list.

Treasurer's Report — Checking Account balance is $9,052.30; fuel savings account balance is $6,284.72. All bills to date are paid. A few members are three months in arrears on hangar rent. Michael Mossman asked for an informal cash flow analysis to determine how the club will do in the coming months.

Fuel Report — Earl Brosman reports that the club will need to buy avgas soon, with only 300 gallons to go before we can accept a new load, and 500 gallons to go before we are out. A new load will cost an estimated $7,500, and could be as high as $10,000. Receivables for fuel are $1,910.84. Mark Poliak motioned for Earl to order a new load of fuel; John Schaub seconded. All voted in favor. Current fuel price is $4.90 per gallon for 100LL; projected price will be $5.50 or more. 100LL has a 25 cents per gallon markup to help fund maintenance of the fuel system. Auto fuel is $4.70 per gallon.

Old Business — Mark Poliak will do a credit application for the waste oil pickup. The club currently has about 200 gallons of waste oil to dispose. Mark anticipates a minimal cost to dispose of the waste oil.

New Business — During the April 2022 meeting Albert Fetzer proposed hosting an aircraft, automobile and motorcycle show at the airport. Original date was to be on Saturday, June 25, with the show running from 1:00 to 6:00 p.m. EDT. Cost for entrance would be $20 per vehicle to get in, and would include a judging contest. Due to the many details to be completed with only one more meeting before the projected show date, the club's consensus was that the event be moved to later in the year, perhaps around Dog Roast time. John Schaub motioned to have a steering committee formed; Michael Mossman seconded, with Albert Fetzer to lead the committee. All voted in favor. Along with discussion about dates and logistics, the members present discussed numbers of volunteers and their qualifications to staff the event. Proposals include inviting the local National Guard and Civil Air Patrol to participate.

Mowing Report — Don Geisler is mowing the main open grass areas on the property and the club is still liable for mowing around the lights, hangars and other obstacles. Earl Brosman reports that the club needs more volunteers to dothe mowing; only a few members have been mowing this year. Earl further reports that one of the club's mowers died and needs multiple parts to get it operating, including a new head for the engine. A new engine would cost between $2,000 and $3,000. The club might need another riding mower.

Club Equipment — Josh Kaskel is bringing a barbecue grill and donating it to the club. The club also got a new gauge for the fuel pump

Other Airport Clubs — It was recommended that the PPG operators and the EAA chapter form a group that can communicate scheduling with the club.

Volunteer Proposal — Earl Brosman proposed that the club implement a monthly maintenance fee of $20 per hangar to cover the expenses of hiring labor that used to be handled by membership volunteers. If a member does an hour or more of volunteer work on specific, board approved projects or tasks, the fee for that month is waived. Based on current occupancy, the fee would generate about $6,000 per year if no volunteers stepped in to help. The monies would be used to pay for the work, with club members getting the first opportunity to pick up the work, then persons outside of the club would be offered the work. No action was taken on this proposal, as Michael Mossman recommended that the proposal be put before club members to gauge the level of acceptance. A basic proposal will be sent out with the next notice of the club minutes being posted. Earl Brosman recommended that the board of directors meet to discuss the proposal.

Property Mantenance — Earl Brosman reports that mowing should be at the top of the club's list. Also, several hangars need the roofs fixed. The airport owner wants some of the timbers replaced on the hangars.

Adjournment — Chuck Long motioned to adjourn; Mark Poliak seconded. The meeting was adjourned at 8:32 p.m. EDT.
