With a quorum declared, club president Ray Rice brought the meeting to order at 7:10 p.m. EST.

Approval of Minutes — Ray Rice motioned to approve the minutes from the December 11, 2022 meeting; Earl Brosman seconded. All voted in favor of approval.

Treasurer's Report — Checking account balance is $1,446.13; fuel savings balance is $5,654.02. Fuel receivables are $4,327.36. Earl Brosman reports that more checks to be deposited are in the lock box, totaling at least $3,800. Treasurer Chuck Long reports that the club has some special expenses this year relative to the fuel system.

Maintenance Fee Notes — All club member tenants will owe the on-going $20 per month maintenance fee. Earl Brosman will contact members who worked on airport maintenance or other club projects and ask if they want to be paid or if they will donate their time.

Fuel System Report — The fuel system inspection has not occurred yet; Ray Rice has it on the schedule. The tanks are within 100 gallons of empty so an inspector would be able to enter them after one more fuel sale, which should completely empty the tanks. One member heard that there was water in the avgas tank. Earl Brosman recently drained five gallons and reported no water in it. Earl will also do some research on a gadget to shut off he fuel pump.

Building Repair and Maintenance Items — Earl Brosman reports the following items need volunteer work:

  • Set mouse traps and mouse poison
  • Remove rocks from runway
  • Prep mowers for spring - Oil change, blades sharpened and balanced
  • Fix air compresson in maintenance hangar; it needs a pressure switch/safety value combination, will cost about $100
Membership Updates — New member Steve Koch bought Roy Dawes' Piper Colt, will keep the aircraft at 6I4. Earl Brosman is now renting an additional open-air hangar for this Ercoupe.

New Ratings — Mary Ann Kitzmiller soloed in Earl Brosman's Ercoupe the week before the meeting. Steve Koch soloed in his Piper Colt on January 15. Congratulations to both Mary Ann and Steve on these milestones in their flight careers!

EAA Chapter 1311 Report — No updates on the status of the chapter.

Young Eagles Report — No updates on Young Eagles. Michael Mossman to send a separate email in the spring requesting volunteers and aircraft for a potential Young Eagles event, with the date to be determined at a future meeting.
