The eclipse will occur over central Indiana, too. The club received another invitation to a fly-in at Connersville on Saturday, September 16. Pat Robinson of Indy Air sent an invitation to sell old aircraft with a $500 finder fee each.

Treasurer's Report — Checking account balance is $10,235.34; fuel savings balance is $326.85. Fuel receivables are $4,160.00. Club treasurer Chuck Long went through our fuel receivable report. Earl Brosman and Chuck will call people that are behind.

Old Business, 1 — Young Eagles and Parkinsons Flying Opportunities. Chuck Long exercises with adults with Parkinsons and would like to offer an airplane ride to them. Earl Brosman and Mark Poliak are EAA current and will volunteer. Chuck will schedule the rides. He will need four planes for the events.

Aircraft Incident — Jason Dodd spoke about his incident at Westfield Airport, where his landing gear gave way so his aircraft is down for a while.

Credit Card System — John Kindred says he has a credit card system for non-profit business. This might work for BCAA fuel system and will look into if for Chuck Long.

Acceptance of Minutes — Minutes from the August 11, 2023 meeting were read by Kevin Hoffer, with no changes. Motion to accept by Jason Dodd, seconded by Kevin Hoffer. Motion passed by voice vote.

North Hangar Door Project — The north hangar door project can begin with John Kindred doing the work. The project starts with moving airplanes; Steve Koch will call all parties for approval to move. John will purchase materials and provide the labor (he has a cost spreadsheet) for $1,600 per hangar. The club will need three firm commitments for material reimbursement of all five hangars. John needs reimbursement of $4,800 for the purchase of materials and labor reimbursement at the end of the build. The three initial tenants will be John Kindred, Jason Dodd, Jason (?) of CJ Well Drilling, with Mark Poliak as a backup fourth tenant. Chuck Long made a motion to start the doors, seconded by Jason Dodd. Pre-vote discussion focused on checking the rails with rollers and ten-foot 2x4 should be done first. Any track repair or welding is not included in the cost estimate. Earl Brosman said the doors should be built in the maintenance hangar. Vote to approve was unanamous.

Donations — John Saalwaechter and Ray Rice are donating a plastic shed for storage of parts, etc., that can be used in the north hangar to "clean out" club items. Jason Dodd said he wants to put money back into the airport for thanks on allowing them to use the field for the paramotor event. Jason is thinking of a permanent low-wind speed wind sock or a better weather station. Contact Jason and let him know if you have ideas that they could donate dollars for a total of around $800. Discussion continued for a small dumpster on demand might be another idea.

Equipment Request — Earl wants a riding mower for Karen Reiger's airplane to push back; Michael Mossman to send out an email to request a donation of an electric start riding mower to use as a tug.

New Lease — The club has a new lease with the property owner; however, it still is not signed by the club. Jason Dodd and Chuck Long will sign then Earl Brosman will deliver to the property owner, along with two bottles of honey from our bee keeper, Leroy Wienot.

New Business — Rental of Maintenance Hangar — Club member Mark Van Zant, who is a mechanic and IA, would like to use the maintenance hangar, along with Steve Koch, to do annuals of off-field airplanes. Other members use of the maintenance hangar could be scheduled one at a time and worked out with Zan Vant and Koch. This arrangement would apply to any full member that is also and A&P or IA to do services and annuals for $10.00 per day and work out any other full member use need to the satisfaction of all. This proposal will be a six-month trial and subject to club amendment of the bylaws. Any use greater than 30 days would require club approval. Motion made by Mark Poliak, seconded by John Kindred. Motion approved with unanimous approval.

New Business — Paramotor Event — Jason Dodd would like to submit the Paramtor even for next year, August 15-18, 2024.

This would apply to new members; existing members would be grandfathered in. Affected hangars would rent at $105 per month, along with the monthly maintenance fee of $20.00. Motion was made by Earl Brosman and seconded by Mark Poliak. Motion carried with unanimous approval.
