Meeting started at 7:01pm.

Steve introduced our newest member, Nathan Schwartz, who has a C172 here now and is working at Rolls Royce. He is from southern Indiana and lives in Indianapolis near Eagle Creek. The members introduced themselves to Nathan.

We do not have minutes of last month's meeting on October 12th as the Secretary was on vacation and whoever took notes had their dog eat the notes.

Old Business:

• 1. Dumpster: The service will be serviced by Waste Management and a 4CY dumpster was discussed last month. It is $55/mo, requires a year's contract and an electronic payment. Once we have a year, it can be down-sized to 2CY but this saves little. The discussion was in support of getting a dumpster. This would not be for personal trash but items from or used at the airport. We can see how much local trash may appear as will be placed at the north end with a lid. Motion by Steve was made to purchase a dumpster for one year, second Chuck Long and unanimously approved. Chuck recommended paying by check in advance versus an electronic payment. Earl Brosman will see how to get them paid in advance.
• 2. Runway Lights: Burned-out lights have not been fixed and needs to be fixed by year end. Jason, Nathan and John will assist Earl to troubleshoot first and then repair.
• 3. Electronic payment of rents: Chuck's proposal stated previously is to send people monthly bills for fuel and hangar rent. Chuck stated that our bank wants to charge 3% for credit card payments. Additionally, we have a wide range of how people pay now and the accounting reconciliation is a lot of work. The first recommendation will give a summary each month to members to simplify the accounting and improve timing on how the rent is paid. Misunderstandings of fuel bills in the past have been resolved easily but takes time to research the past records. The volunteer hours now will be recorded on a clipboard sheet like the fuel log. The second recommendation would be to pay all fuel and rent via a card reader. Discussion on credit card readers revealed our bank will charge $10 per month with a 3% fee and this can be built into our fuel price. The log will still be filled out. Earl recommended a provision be figured out should the card reader not work as pilots will go and fly. People commented that this system must be easy for Chuck. Steve suggested we try the first process over the winter and see how it works out. Chuck said we are basically using the same systems but will receive a monthly statement with three ways to pay: 1. Mail a check to the airport, 2. Place a check in the lock box at the FBO, 3. Have your bank print and mail your check electronically.
• 4. Hangar doors at the North Hangar: John Kendrick says he has 17 of 20 doors built and the PPG group helped him hang one set and they work great. Jason said he can text the group when doors are ready to be hung next. John can build the remaining doors in one day and will look at the weather to let Jason know when we can finish the installations. Earl said the 2 unoccupied hangars should be advertised at $130/month for new members and the club will be paid back in 2 years.
