Association Meeting

The meeting started at 7:14 pm and a quorum is met with 5 of 7 officers and representatives present.

Finance: Chuck Long reviewed the year-end financials. He said we are now OK to purchase 100LL and Earl indicated we have 350 gallons measured out of the 2,000-gallon tank, less 100 gallons of unusable. Chuck has now rolled in the $240 annual charge for maintenance into the hangar rent charge. If you do volunteer work, we will reimburse you at $15/hr at the end of the year up to a total of $240. You must record the work on the clipboard next to the fuel log as it is done. If you have volunteer hours for 2023, send the documentation to Chuck or Matt Kriech. Chuck's email is charles.long@tds.net and Matt's is kriechm@hotmail.com He mentioned some outstanding bills are Roy Dawes at $321 and Chuck sent him a note. Josh Kaskel owes $195 and Steve said we have a check in hand. Chuck announced his resignation is due to health issues and this has pushed him to give someone else an opportunity. We have 1099 forms that the accountant wants us to mail out but the amounts are in the spreadsheet. There are a few people who do not have email addresses for the monthly bills and Chuck has sent them a text in the past. Will Downing owes $571 for fuel and Chuck sent him several notices and Steve will now follow up. Chad Williams asked if we are being charged road-tax on the MoGas and the group felt the price is what the price is and fair but Earl will ask at the next fueling.

Old Business: No minutes were taken at the December meeting due to a lack of a quorum with 3 members showing up.

New Business:

• Earl Brosman reported that he and Mark Poliak picked up an 8' wide roller from Sluggo Graves and Gene Hollingsworth to replace the 6' roller they repossessed. The new roller transported well in Mark's dump trailer.
• Chuck Long said that Matt Kriech needs to be added to the PNC bank account.
• Earl said Ray Rice is still listed as the Airport Manager on the airport register and a form needs to be sent to the FAA. He provided the form and Steve will follow up.
• Earl also mentioned we need to renew the fuel tank representatives for our IDEM underground tank permit. Chad Williams and Earl will take the test and Jason Dodd will be the third person on our permit to take direction from Earl and Chad.
• Chad said he will become an associate member to support his sons. Chuck will print out a list of Associate Members and give to Jason Dodd to renew them for 2024. This will be on a Jan 1 to Dec 31 basis and will be prorated as new associates are added throughout the year. The annual Associate Membership is $80 each for the ability to use our facilities not including fuel or hangar privileges.
• Jason Dodd gave a report on the paramotor event. Registrations are coming in for the event August 15-18, 2024 at 6I4. Chad posted the NOTAM for last year and will post a continual NOTAM for paramotor activity March-November. This is not to be confused with paranormal activity.
• Kevin Hoffer introduced a visitor, Dennis Woodard, who is not a current pilot but interested in getting an ultralight or Light Sport plane.
• Chuck moved to adjourn the meeting and Steve seconded at 8:43 pm.
